After the unexpected passing of her daughter Angela, Kim found herself grieving alongside her surviving family and friends. The daily struggles became overwhelming, at times making it challenging to be around others.

Kim dedicated many years to caring for her family as a nurse Dementia related care was her specialized area of care. However, after three decades in the field, her own health concerns forced her to pause her nursing career. As Kim's health improved, her aspirations grew.​

 

Following Angela's loss, a stranger called Kim, offering her a chance to pursue her dreams and embark on a healing journey post-tragedy. Taking on the role of managing in-home care for the caller, Kim found purpose and filled her time with meaningful work, socializing with others again.

One significant evening, Kim received a divine message from God, indicating that she would be providing her own service to benefit others. While it had always been her dream, she now knew it was time to turn it into a reality. She delved into research, obtained permits, explored caregiving models, and meticulously developed a company culture aligned with her vision.

 

On March 16, 2023, KPK Home Care was officially launched in Jasper, Alabama. Initially serving a few clients, the business has expanded significantly, with a nearly 500% increase in staff employment since its inception. KPK Home Care is now recognized across Walker County, Winston County, Jefferson County, and St. Clair County. The fulfillment, growth, and purpose of KPK Home Care can only be described as "It's a GOD thing!"
